Libraries are vast reservoir of knowledge of source of constant value addition for the knowledge seekers and mental stimulation which help updating the knowledge for the faculty and students alike. BPIBS library has a rich collection of books and journals predominantly related to computer science and management studies and their allied subjects to meet the present and future information needs of students and faculty members. BPIBS Library, besides stocking prescribed text books and reference material, makes available a range of books on each subject as well as general material like biographies and literature. It also subscribes to several national and international journals, periodicals and newspapers.

The well-furnished BPIBS Library has a stack of more than 30000 volumes and subscribes more than 30 periodicals covering all aspects of Technical Education. BPIBS subscribes to IEEE, Springer, ASME and other national and international journals through INDEST. The College subscribes to DELNET (Digital Library Networking, which permits accessing more than 4 million online books and journals across the globe).

BPIBS Library compromises a digital section which constitutes CD’s, DVD’s, and other digital medium containing hills of information regarding the trends and developments in the areas of Computer Applications, Management and Technology. The electronic format information is made available to students, faculty and library members for research and subject exploration purposes.

The automation of the library is already completed and shortly all standard services like acquisition, searching and lending will be computerized. Identification of volumes on the bar-coding basis is completed and library possesses its own hardware and software resources for that purposes. The library has developed an extensive CD-Database of back volumes and abstracts of leading journals in computer science, management, engineering and technology.

One IBM Server machine installed in library serves the database – server, and the software…………. Provided by …… is being into use for maintaining and updating of database that constitutes information regarding 30000 volumes. Soon students will be provided with the facility of searching, retrieving of books through standard stand alone terminals.

Working on the vision of college of imparting knowledge on continuous basis without letting lack of resources hindering the way of learners and bright minds, BPIBS library provides free text books to the students on the need basis, besides providing the services of book bank – Students are provided with books as per their course curriculum for the entire semester.
